Technology department leadership for the 50 departments that constitute the Division of Academic and Student Affairs at NC State University. Reduced service desk resolution time by nearly 20 hours, and lead the development/implementation of a new strategic plan for the technology department.

Chief Information & Technology Officer

September 2010 - April 2020 (10 Years)

Began as the Executive Director for Technology & Media Education in September 2010, but was promoted to the Chief Information & Technology Officer in July 2016. Responsibilities have included leading the Technology, Public Relations, and Media Education departments. Highlights have included earning a 98% customer satisfaction rating for the Technology Department, launching and renewing two 1-to-1 Student Laptop Programs worth $3.4 million, and revamping both website and collaboration tools to improve internal and external communications.

Senior Administrator for Collaborative Applications

June 2004 - September 2010 (6 Years)

Led the implementation of the Blackboard Learning Management System which grew to 100% adoption during my tenure making it one of the largest deployments in the country. Developed web-based applications supporting a variety of business functions, created technical documentation for technology systems, and completed a web usability study on the Intranet serving 18,000 employees. Led a team of PHP/MySQL developers, gathered customer business requirements, created the product roadmap, and held weekly progress reviews with developers and customers.

Daily Operations Coordinator

June 2002 - June 2004 (2 Years)

Oversaw the daily enrollment and support operations for over 300 K-12 districts across the state of Michigan. Turned customer feedback into design requirements for the first enrollment portal deployment. Developed an online contract management portal using ASP 3.0 to automate the course request and contract routing used by online instructors. Served on the Michigan LearnPort launch team as a technical advisor and initial training coordinator with the vendor and Intermediary School Districts (ISDs) around the state of Michigan.
